Godhan Nyay Yojana 

The Chhattisgarh Gordhan Nyaya Scheme was first started in the state by the Chief Minister of the state, Bhupesh Baghel on 20 July 2020 for the farmers/cattle rearers, and still, this scheme is being implemented in the entire state. Under this CG Godhan Nyay Scheme, the state government will buy cow dung from the cattle-rearing farmers of the state and the farmers will be provided the right price of cow dung for this. After this, the government will use the cow dung purchased from animal husbandry under this scheme to make vermicompost.

This Godhan Nyay Yojana is being run by the state government in two phases, in the first phase 2240 gaushalas of the state will be linked to the scheme, and after the construction of 2800 formations under this phase, cow dung will be purchased from the farmers in the second phase. 

 Cow dung is useful in many ways, good fuel is prepared through it, keeping this in mind, the government will buy cow dung under the scheme at the right prices.

What will happen to the Godhan received from the Godhan Nyaya Yojana?

Godhan Nyay Yojana: Godhan obtained will be used to make Vermi Compost Fertilizer. Cow dung received under the Godhan Nyay Yojana will be used to make vermicompost. And this fertilizer is sold by the government So that the requirement of fertilizers for farmers, forests, horticulture, etc. can be fulfilled. The responsibility of procurement of cow dung has been given to Chhattisgarh State Urban Administration. This vermicompost price will be ₹ 10 per kg.

With this new scheme, green energy can be produced in Chhattisgarh, and the environment can be saved with this energy. Youth and women can also be benefited from this scheme. Along with this, farmers, youth, and industries are going to be greatly benefited. Seeing the increasing global warming, the idea of making electricity from cow dung is being promoted by the government. Under this scheme, 50 lakh quintal cow dung has been purchased in the last year, and this purchased cow dung will be used to generate electricity. This scheme will provide new employment to the people in the state and if the records of the previous years are seen then many people have got jobs from this scheme, so far more than 100 crore cattle have been bought under the scheme.

Apart from this, under the scheme, 64000 women of more than 9000 self-help groups working in the work of vermicompost making in Gauthano and other economic activities get employment from this Godhan Nyay yojana of the government.
