Lakshmibai's childhood name was Manu. He was born in 1835 AD at a place named Bai near Satara. His mother's name was Bhagirathi she passed away leaving Manu at the age of four. Manu's father's name was Moro Pant. He used to work at the Peshwa of Bithoor. Manu used to play with Nana Saheb, the son of Peshwa Bajirao in his childhood. As a child, Manu was interested in men's sports. Manu had learned to shoot arrows, swords, and horse riding in his childhood.

Manu was married in childhood to Gangadhar Rao, the king of Jhansi. Thus she was called Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi in place of Manu. Who had a son too, but he died early. Gangadhar Rao could not bear this trauma and went to heaven. He adopted a child Damodar Rao as his son. The British did not allow it. So she started waiting to take iron from the British.

While going to Kalpi, Lakshmibai was confronted by General Bowker. He also had to eat in his mouth. To gather resources for the army, the queen snatched the fort from the luxurious king of Gwalior and organized her own army. With Damodar Rao tied behind her, with a sword in both hands and the reins of the horse in her mouth, she continued to fight the enemies with determination.

Being very injured in the war, she took her horse and left for another. The queen's new horse could not cross the stream. The queen gave up her life near a hermit's cottage. The spark of independence set by the queen kept burning slowly and finally, the country became independent on August 15, 1947.
