NCL CIL Assistant Foreman Exam pattern

The NCL CIL exam will have two stages whose exam pattern is given below.

  • This exam will be of 90 minutes in which 100 MCQs will be asked.
  • no negative marking.

Technical Knowledge (70 marks)

  • Mechanical Engineering: Thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, machine design, power plants, boilers, material science, etc.

  • Electrical Engineering: Electrical circuits, machines, power systems, control systems, electronics, instrumentation, etc.

NCL CIL Assistant Foreman syllabus for Section B: 

  • General Knowledge: Current affairs, Indian history, geography, polity, economy, science, etc.

  • General Awareness: Sports, culture, literature, famous personalities, etc.

  • Reasoning: Verbal and non-verbal reasoning, analytical thinking, problem-solving, etc.

  • Verbal & Mental Ability: Grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, sentence completion, etc.

  • Quantitative Aptitude: Number system, arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data interpretation, etc.

NCL CIL Assistant Foreman Cut-Off

For average 55-60% for the General category, and 50-55% for SC/ST categories.
